Vision wheels benefit from long experience in both the wind tunnel and laboratory testing, to guarantee strength, reliability and aerodynamics. All Trimax wheels have undergone extensive wind tunnel testing where they have proven their aerodynamic advantage.

All the wheel components are specifically designed to reduce drag. This allows riders to achieve maximum speed with minimum pedaling effort. Reduced distance between the hub flanges, aero spokes and special rim profiles are the key points.
CAE
(Computer Aided Engineering)
Carbon rims are developed using CAE software that allows simulated mechanical events on the structure, to obtain optimization of the carbon rim shape and construction (Layup).
Through an iterative improvement of the layup sequence of the rim, a significant performance advantage has been calculated which can be exploited to achieve superior weight to stiffness ratios, the balance of weight to stiffness allows the best real world performance. Simulation of the laminate shell elements for failure initiation detection along the contact area between the nipple and the laminate. High stress areas are identified and modified to reduce potential failures.
During the development process our internal studies shown a reduction of the Power Consumption up to 5% by using the Trimax Ultimate 88mm profile rim compared to a traditional 50mm carbon wheel or spokes wheel.
